A bundle of joy is on the way

Another non-Christmas card, say whaaaat??

I love this Taylored Expressions baby onesie die. That + patterned paper make this card. No stamping on this one; I created my own digital sentiment because I made a matching inside text that says: Oops! I meant to say... More laundry is on the way! 😄

I am submitting this to:

YNS Challenge #129 - favourite from 2019 (using my favourite new-to-me technique - ink splatter background. I am finally letting go and accepting the randomness - and beauty - of it!)

Thinking of you!

Woot woot, putting some of those Black Friday goodies to use already 😉 I've had my eyes on the "Stacked with Fun" and "Cool Tag Banner Sentiments" stamp sets from Your Next Stamp for some time!

Inspired by this week's MFT sketch challenge and I am lovin' how it turned out. (Also lovin' using up some scraps of the Lawn Fawn Sweater Weather patterned paper.)

I am submitting this to:

YNS Challenge #129 - favourite from 2019 (I think this is my favourite card this year. My husband says this is possibly his "favourite card ever" lol!)

Warm wishes

Kristina Werner is right (of course she is!) - card challenges get you out of card slumps! I had this Craftin Desert Divas Java Fox coloured and lying around for a few weeks with no idea how to put it on a card, but this week's MFT Wednesday sketch challenge was just the inspiration I needed:

Thank you Craftin Desert Divas for the wonderfully cute image :) (and the sentiment too!)

This card is going to Christina Hor's Cards for Little Hearts winter card drive - I encourage you to check it out!

Wishing you comfort and joy

It makes me so happy when a card comes together quickly. Bonus when it uses up scrappy pieces that have been lying around for a while! (Don't tell me I'm the only one who cuts up lots of die cut pieces and then don't know what to do with them 😅)

The "falling snow" on the top and bottom edges - it could also pass for coffee beans! 😄

Sending warm fuzzies

My little Lawn Fawn Sweater Weather paper pad is dwindling, but it was good to use up some of the scraps in this card; I even did a bit of paper piecing on the toque and scarf. I like how this one turned out :) As usual, those YNS Christmas chickies crack me up!

Let it snow...

The idea for this card came from an MFT sketch from a few weeks ago. I finally completed it after getting the YNS snowy mountains edge die (woot woot for sales). I can now make lots of fun winter scenes for those mischievous YNS Christmas chickies, yay!

Special delivery... Happy Birthday

Hello friend! Thank you for visiting my blog today. I pinned this card eons ago and I have finally CASE-ed it :) It's such an elegant and beautiful design.

I used the big bloom from Verve's "Surely Goodness" and Concord and 9th's "Perfectly Penned". I love how the sentiments intended for the envelope work so well on this card! Easy-peasy and finished with some rhinestones.

Birthday "hi"!

Crafty friends are the best! Christina (of Christina Hor Designs) (she organizes the Cards for Little Hearts card drive!) recently gifted me the MFT balloon shaker die and it was very handy for this pint-sized card, for a pint-sized person :)

I also followed Christina's sponged sky background tutorial!

The card measures 3 1/2 x 6 3/8. The koala is from MFT Cuddly Koalas, the "BIRTHDAY" is from Lawn Fawn's So Much To Say, and I generated the rest of the sentiment on the computer. "1st!" are some leftover stickers from Michaels.

I started with the sketch from Your Next Stamp's challenge #86, but it got a bit lost along the way, haha. The colours are still there though!

Let it snow

Is it ever too early to start on Christmas cards? I'm going to say no :) I've had enough of snow for now though!

Love this faux metal embellishments technique from the ever-amazing Jennifer McGuire. It's my first time to do it and I am already itching to emboss more of these MFT snowflakes!

Panda hugs

Playing along at the Gerda Steiner Designs' monthly challenge with a rather CAS card. This panda is so super cute! I hoped to give him a bamboo-looking background with the Altenew watercolor stripes stencil, but these must be super bamboos because they grow horizontally 😂

Hello!

I am following A Blog Named Hero's current challenge to copy a designer. I used an old Hero Arts set called Happy Day Animals, and changed the colours from red/black to yellow/grey, to make this sweet and easy card.

Here are the designers I was inspired by:

In retrospect, the original red/black definitely has more oomph!

Holiday wishes

I feel card makers sometimes skip seasons altogether. Last week, I was in full summer mode for the coffee lovers blog hop; now, I am diving back into Christmas cards! This card is for Christina Hor's Cards for Little Hearts card drive.

The patterned paper with the adorable reindeer is from Michaels. The sentiment is from Hero Arts' Layering Christmas Tree. Overall, a pretty easy-peasy card.
