Thinking of you!

Woot woot, putting some of those Black Friday goodies to use already 😉 I've had my eyes on the "Stacked with Fun" and "Cool Tag Banner Sentiments" stamp sets from Your Next Stamp for some time!

Inspired by this week's MFT sketch challenge and I am lovin' how it turned out. (Also lovin' using up some scraps of the Lawn Fawn Sweater Weather patterned paper.)

I am submitting this to:

YNS Challenge #129 - favourite from 2019 (I think this is my favourite card this year. My husband says this is possibly his "favourite card ever" lol!)

Wishing you comfort and joy

It makes me so happy when a card comes together quickly. Bonus when it uses up scrappy pieces that have been lying around for a while! (Don't tell me I'm the only one who cuts up lots of die cut pieces and then don't know what to do with them 😅)

The "falling snow" on the top and bottom edges - it could also pass for coffee beans! 😄

Sending warm fuzzies

My little Lawn Fawn Sweater Weather paper pad is dwindling, but it was good to use up some of the scraps in this card; I even did a bit of paper piecing on the toque and scarf. I like how this one turned out :) As usual, those YNS Christmas chickies crack me up!

Let it snow...

The idea for this card came from an MFT sketch from a few weeks ago. I finally completed it after getting the YNS snowy mountains edge die (woot woot for sales). I can now make lots of fun winter scenes for those mischievous YNS Christmas chickies, yay!

I am trying to clear up the scraps on my craft desk and this is a cup that I coloured over a year ago. Yay!

Happy holidays

Hello! There's (still) 130 days until Christmas 😁

I quite like this Christmas card. I randomly stamped snowflakes to create a background, and used the YNS Christmas Chickies paired with a sentiment from Lawn Fawn Winter Penguin. For some pizazz, I created a tiny wire coil behind the chickie, but it's a bit on the short side to be wobbling much.

Again, I was inspired by an old Mojo Monday sketch and the current YNS colour challenge:

Warm wishes

 Hello!

The inspiration for this card came from the Coffee Loving Cardmakers' Sunday Sip and Share:
I embossed snowflakes where the large circles are in the sketch, and falling snow where the small circles are, but they appear much more subtle than I would like, and I'm not sure that they even show up in the photo. Ah well. Live and learn!

The chickie is from the ever-adorable Your Next Stamp Christmas Chickie, and I created the sentiment using the Concord and 9th Perfectly Penned set. This letter set is completely amazeballs. It's so forgiving and I want to stamp it literally everywhere

This card is for Christina Hor's Cards for Little Hearts card drive - there's still time!

Christmas chickies

This card is for the last Mojo Monday. I only discovered Mojo Monday this year, and I haven't participated in many challenges, but I always appreciate the sketches because they helped me learn so many variations on balanced layouts. Thank you Julee! I look in the archived sketches often!

Those cute chickies are from Your Next Stamps' Christmas Chickies, and the sentiment is from Hero Arts' Layering Christmas Tree. Layout and colours inspired by:

Side step card - cup of happiness

This is my first side step card (side-step card? side step-card? My inner grammar police is still thinking about it), idea as inspired by the Coffee Loving Cardmakers' Caseing DT link-up party #13. I've used basically all the stamps in the YNS Cup of Happiness set!

The white is a shimmery cardstock; my apologies for the brightness of the photos. Some of the marshmallow dudes are on foam dots, and some are layered twice for varying depths. There is some acetate behind the back ladder so that it looks above the fold.

I am submitting this to:
Color throwdown #444 (green, grey, white)
Word Art Wednesday Challenge #284-285 - Anything Goes
Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps - Wonderful Wednesday (Anything Goes)
Dare 2B Artzy - Girly (it's a girl cup; look at those eyelashes! 😁)

What do you call a group of marshmallows?

If you can have a litter of kittens, a gaggle of geese, and a mob of kangaroos, what do you call a group of marshmallows (falling into a cup)?

The stamp set is Your Next Stamp's Cup of Happiness. The sketch is a CASE of Terri Burson's card in the Coffee Loving Cardmakers CASEing DT Link Up Party #9 and the colors are from Your Next Stamp's Color Challenge #56:

From the sketch, I liked the placement of the sentiment in between the droplets falling into the large cup below. However, now that I look at my card again, I'm not sure how all the marshmallows will fit into the cup.

My Cup To Yours

The crafting community is so very supportive. My last post was the first in two years; now, buoyed by the cheerful and positive comments, this is my second post in one week.

Browsing the 2016 Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop, I saw the Verve Stamps' digital stamp set My Cup To Yours. Thanks for making this a freebie download! This is my first card with a digital stamp. The coloured backgrounds are coloured with alcohol markers. I wasn't sure if this would dilute the printer ink, so the cups are actually printed on a transparency and taped over top. (This is why my messy crafting table is reflected...)

The sentiment is from Your Next Stamp's Cup of Happiness because I still had it out from the last card :)

I am submitting this to:
SSS Monday Challenge: Let There Be Snow (There are clear snowflakes embossed on the top panel too!)
SSS Wednesday Challenge: Ice Inspiration (Used 3 of the 4 colours)
Verve Stamps December Diva Inspirations Challenge (Used a Verve stamp and I think this counts as a colourful winter card?)

Thanks for stopping by!
