Best wishes

Wow, the spring coffee lovers blog hop is going strong! So many inspirational cards + dedicated commenters leaving lovely comments + great hop prizes (+ coffee) = Winning combination :)

I found this cute flower-in-a-teacup Provo Craft mini embossing folder ("Feel Better") in my stash recently and thought it would be perfect for the spring hop. I used the YNS sketch and colours; the sentiment is from Lawn Fawn's So Much To Say and then finished with a bit of cork ribbon as de facto cup coaster and glossy accents.

I hope card quality is not proportional to the amount of time spent on the card because this one came together relatively quickly for me.

Rise and Shine

... with a cup of coffee in the great outdoors. Here's sending a whiff of fresh mountain air your way:

Stamps: Hero Arts' Layering Christmas Tree and Verve's Rise and Shine (gorgeous set; thanks Julee!)

Added some glossy accents to make the sentiment "shine". Ink sponging a background is new to me and fun!

You've Got This in the Bag

It's that time again: The Coffee Lovers Blog Hop - 2017 Spring edition! I am late to the (ginormous) party, but "better late than never" is my motto, so here is my first card:

The stamp set is a free digi: Verve's Rise and Shine. I scattered the cups, printed on a piece of yellow marbled paper, and then coloured in the cups. I love, love, love the style of this set and this punny sentiment! Thank you Julee for your generosity!

This card is inspired by Andreea Raghina's card over at the CASEing DT Link-Up Party #11. When I saw the layout, I was immediately reminded of this twisted panel card by Melanie Muenchinger, so I combined the two. I used the colours from Colour Throwdown #435.

However, I can't decide if I want to tape down the tag or leave it completely free-floating (how it is now). Thoughts?

Cast all your cares on Him

I feel that I spent more time trying to get an accurate photo of this card than making it, but the colours are finally close enough:

The sketch is from Mojo Monday and the colours are from the YNS colour challenge:

I replaced the half-circle with a half-rectangle and dry embossed the vertical column with a double-partial embossing technique (using a DIY embossing diffuser). Double-partial? Yup, I'm coining this term. This card is 5 x 6.5, so the brown panel was too big for my A2-sized embossing folder. I partially embossed from the top, and then ran it through again from the other end.

The stamp is from Verve's Faith Medley, part of my small but growing faith-based sets, because my mom commissioned me I offered to make my mom a stash of cards for her church fellowship group.
